Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common print questions — plus plain-English explanations of the jargon.

What is bleed?

Bleed is extra background beyond the cut line (usually 3mm). It prevents white edges after trimming.

What’s the safe area?

Keep important text/logos 3–5mm inside the trim line so nothing gets cut off.

CMYK vs RGB?

RGB is for screens; CMYK is for print. CMYK helps colours print closer to expectations.

What DPI do I need?

Use 300dpi at final print size for crisp results.

Do you check artwork?

Yes — request an artwork check in your quote notes and we’ll review bleed/margins/resolution.

Can I quote first and upload later?

Yes — that’s how most customers do it. Get a quote, then upload when ready.

Do you deliver to Dudley / Halesowen / Brierley Hill?

Yes — we serve the West Midlands and deliver UK-wide.

Still unsure?

Send your spec and we’ll point you in the right direction.
