How to Export Canva Designs for Professional Printing

February 7, 2026

Canva is great for fast designs — but exporting the wrong way can cause blurry print or missing bleed. Here’s the best setup.

Use PDF Print (not JPG)

Choose PDF Print for crisp text and better quality. JPGs often compress and soften detail.

Enable bleed & crop marks

If Canva offers it, turn on crop marks and bleed for cleaner trimming.

Resolution checks

Aim for high-quality images and correct sizing. 300dpi at final size is the standard for sharp print.

Safe layout tips

  • Keep text 3–5mm from edges
  • Avoid thin lines near trim
  • Export as PDF with embedded fonts
